Nigerian Actor, Ali Nuhu and other kannywood stars that attended the just concluded African Magic Viewers’ Choice Award (AMVCA) in Lagos might under go test for Coronavirus, COVID-19.

The actor who has been able to successfully transcend the kannywood – Nollywood industry divide may have come in contact with a confirmed case of a coronavirus patient at the just concluded AMVCA.

The Lagos State Government stated  that all participants at the 7th edition of AMVCA held on 14th March may have come in contact with one of the confirmed cases in Lagos and are most likely to have been exposed to COVID-19 infection.

This was stated by the state Commissioner for Health, Professor Akin Abayomi.

Aside celebrities and socialites  like former Senator Dino Melaye, 2baba, Mercy Ike, Bisola Aiyeola, Basketmouth, Ebuka Obi-Uchendu, Toke Makinwa, Denola Grey,  Banky & Adesua Wellington among others, several Kannywood stars attended the event.

Director Hassan Giggs, singer Ado Gwanja and producer Abubakar Bashir Maishadda were also in attendance.

On his twitter and Instagram page, Nuhu is actively sharing information and guidelines of staying safe about the pandemic, he has however not made any post regarding self-isolation or possible test.

However, a Kannywood singer, Mohammed Anas, when contacted told Daily Trust that “Ali Nuhu will be tested of covid-19”

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC,  has confirmed two more new cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday morning, bringing the country’s total to 46. One is in Lagos and the other in Osun.

At the moment, two persons have been discharged while one death has been recorded so far.

Daily Trust had reported that the Bauchi state Governor Bala Abdukadir Mohammed, tested positive for Coronavirus.
