Amusan, on Sunday will not only be keen to equal their head-to-head record, she will also target the 7.75 world leading time ran by the Bahamian at the Sports Performance Center in Lubbock, Texas on January 20, 2024.

The 26-year-old Nigerian ran a new 7.77 African record in Astana, Kazakhstan seven days later and will be eager to improve on that as she seeks to become the first Nigerian to win a World indoor and a world outdoor title.

Amusan towers over Charlton as the Nigerian holds a 20-2 head-to-head record against the 2022 World Indoor Championships silver medalist.
