Amotekun arrests 2 for stealing batteries in Osun

The Amotekun Corps in Osun State said it has arrested two suspects for stealing batteries of a lorry in Igbaye Community in Odo-Otin LGA.

Brig Gen Bashir Adewinmbi (Rtd), commander of the corps in the state, disclosed this while addressing newsmen in Osogbo on Wednesday.

He explained that the suspects, in the early hours of Monday, removed the batteries of a lorry belonging to a resident of Igbaye community.

He said, “The complaint reported that the batteries were stolen in the early hours of Monday. Our operatives swung into action and arrested the suspects at the point where they went to sell the batteries.

“Upon interrogation, the suspects confessed to stealing the batteries from the complainant’s truck,” adding that they had been handed over to the police. (NAN)
