‘Aminu Hassan not just a LG chairman’

Musa Daniel, a Public Relations expert, has commended the impact of Aminu Jauro Hassan, chairman of Jalingo Local Government and ALGON Chairman of Taraba State.

In a statement made available to newsmen, Daniel highlighted the achievements of Hassan.

The PR expert said Dr. Hassan’s tenure as Chairman of Jalingo Local Government has been characterized by his ability to stabilize the political and social fabric of the area.

“In a region often marked by diverse interests and competing priorities, he has established himself as a unifying force, ensuring that Jalingo remains a beacon of peace and progress.

“His recent initiatives, including the Football Peace Tournament, are more than just social programs; they are calculated political moves to solidify the support base of Governor Kefas’ administration. By fostering unity and engaging youth through sports, Dr. Hassan is creating an environment that aligns seamlessly with the governor’s vision for a peaceful and prosperous Taraba State,” he said.

According to him, Dr. Hassan has made it clear that his leadership is inextricably linked to the transformative agenda of Governor Agbu Kefas.

“As ALGON Chairman, he has been vocal in his support for the governor’s developmental policies, often describing them as “foundational” for the long-term progress of Taraba.

“His advocacy for increased local government autonomy and targeted investments in rural areas reflects Governor Kefas’ broader strategy of grassroots development. By ensuring that Jalingo becomes a model of effective governance, Dr. Hassan is bolstering the political capital of the Kefas administration while securing his own legacy as a loyal and capable ally,” he said.

The statement continued: “Dr. Hassan’s commitment to economic empowerment and infrastructure development is deeply political. His flagship project, the Jalingo Women Development and Skills Acquisition Center, is a direct response to Governor Kefas’ call for inclusive governance. By equipping 5,000 women annually with essential skills, the center serves as a tangible demonstration of the administration’s promise to uplift marginalized groups.

“Through these initiatives, Dr. Hassan is not just transforming Jalingo but also cementing his position as a key player in the Kefas-led political framework. His ability to deliver on promises strengthens the narrative that the current administration is one of action, not rhetoric.

“In a state where political stability often determines the pace of development, Dr. Hassan’s role as a stabilizer cannot be overstated. His New Year message urging peace and unity was not merely a call to action—it was a political statement. By advocating for harmony across religious and ethnic lines, he is ensuring that the political climate remains conducive for Governor Kefas’ ambitious plans to thrive.

“Moreover, his influence as ALGON Chairman extends beyond Jalingo, allowing him to rally support from other local government leaders for the governor’s agenda. His position as National ALGON Welfare Officer further amplifies his ability to champion Taraba’s interests on a national platform, aligning them with the broader vision of Governor Kefas.

“Dr. Hassan’s focus on security is both a practical and political strategy. By maintaining peace in Jalingo, he is safeguarding the governor’s developmental projects and ensuring the smooth implementation of policies. His grassroots approach to conflict resolution and youth engagement has effectively neutralized potential threats, making Jalingo a stronghold of political stability in Taraba State.

“Hon. Dr. Aminu Jauro Hassan is not just a local government chairman; he is a political architect working to secure the success of Governor Agbu Kefas’ administration. His initiatives, leadership style, and unwavering commitment to the governor’s vision have positioned him as a stabilizer in Jalingo and a force to be reckoned with in Taraba politics.”
