Outgoing governor of Lagos, Akinwunmi Ambode, on Tuesday edited his profile page on Twitter and changed his designation to read “former governor.”
This is coming about twelve hours to the end of his tenure as governor of Lagos state popularly known for its “Aquatic Splendour.”
In two separate tweet posts few minutes after editing his profile, Ambode also announced that he has handed over the reins of the government in the state to “His Excellency, Mr. Babajide Sanwoolu, after a rewarding 4-year experience.”
He thanked Lagosians for their supports and cooperation while he held sway as the number one citizen of the state.
