Kannywood actress, Maryam Booth has emerged the best actress in a supporting role category at the Africa Movie Academy Awards.

Maryam Booth won the award with her role in the movie: The Milkmaid, beating Chairmaine Mujeri (Mirage), Linda Ejiofor (4th Republic), and four others.

To celebrate the award, the actress wrote on her verified Instagram handle, “Congratulations to me and my family milkmaid movie. More wins. See you soon at Oscar.”

Also congratulating her on the award, award winning actor, Ali Nuhu wrote on his verified Instagram handle, “Congratulations for the well deserved African Movie Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in The Milk Maid. This is just the beginning, daughter Maryam Booth.”

The event, which was held virtually, was hosted by actor, Lorenzo Menakaya on Sunday 20th, December 2020.

‘The Milkmaid’, Written and directed by Desmond Ovbiagele is Nigeria’s Official Submission for 2021 Oscars.
