The Governor of Nasarawa State Umaru Tanko Almakura yesterday commissioned the state’s new liaison office complex in Abuja.
The new complex is made up of 115 rooms, 35 lettable offices, a banquet hall, exhibition room, kitchen, restaurant and an office for the governor. Speaking at the event the governor said, “Government after due diligence re-awarded the construction of the complex to Messrs KCC Construction Limited in 2018 with a completion period of 12 months at the sum of N1,158,397,642.50 only.”
According to him, the complex was conceived in 2005 with a completion period of 30-months but was abandoned since then at a 60 per cent completion.
The event was graced by the former governor of Narawa State Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, Deputy Governor Silas Agara, and incoming Governor Abdulahi Alhaji Sule among others.
