Almajirism: the potential terrorism

Almajiri education system was the only and primitive method for educating the Northern Hausa/Fulani child; thus it helped in those days but we now have the teachers of the Qur’an everywhere.

The system had worked in those days and yielded a positive result because there were no social vices like the ones of these days.

The Northern Hausa/Fulanis now use the Almajiri system as a guise for running away from the filial responsibilities of feeding, sheltering, schooling, healthcare, and whatnot that are bestowed upon them by God, and thus use the resources meant for fulfilling those responsibilities to take more wives so they might have enough routine sex.

It is not poverty that is making them throw the kids into the streets to fend for themselves but prioritizing their erotic desires and satisfaction over raising their kids humanely.

They claim that it is Islamic whilst it never was, is and never will be. If you ask them to show you just a verse from the Qur’an or quote from an authentic Hadith of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) which says that: for a Muslim to learn the Qur’anic or Islamic knowledge he must marginalize himself by roaming the streets in dirt and clumsiness begging they can’t – because there is not.

The Government doesn’t need money to stop the child abuse and human contempt called Almajirism in which an innocent child will be discarded to fend for himself without love, security and defence.

The only thing that the government will need to stop it is imposing the laws guiding the opening and running of private schools that make it mandatory for every school to provide its students with feeding, shelter, security, healthcare and whatnot since the Almajiri schools too are private not government schools upon them.

Governor Ganduje of Kano had last year said that terrorist groups had started recruiting Almajiris because they are the most vulnerable persons in this country.

If an Almajiri, for example, commits a crime, let’s say, murder, there’s no way he could be traced and brought to justice since nobody has his biodata, picture, knows his parents or guardians.

Majority of the Almajiris are not known even by their Mallams talk more of the government.

The earlier the better that the government put a stop to the shaggy and inhumane primitive Almajiri system for the security of our nation.
