Allow defecting PDP members into APC, Okorocha says

The governor’s warning came on the heels of a recent revelation that some PDP members had faced difficulties from APC leaders at both ward and local government levels when they attempted to join the party.
Okorocha, who is APC governors’ forum  chairman, said in a statement by his media aide Sam Onwuemeodo, that any APC leader or official discouraging anybody or any group from joining the APC by making things difficult would be termed anti-party member.
“APC members must show both in words and in action that the APC is a new party for the new Nigeria that must not stick to the old ways of doing things other political parties are known for.”
Okorocha said the APC in the state is open for all Imo people who believe strongly in the progress, development and growth of the state.
