The Nasarawa State chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has called on the main opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to allow the court to decide on the appeal filed by Governor Abdullahi Sule for fairness and justice for all.
The state APC chairman, Aliyu Bello, spoke Thursday while briefing newsmen at the party’s secretariat in Lafia, the state capital.
Recall that the election petition tribunal had nullified the election of Governor Sule and declared candidate of the PDP, David Ombugadu, as winner of the March 18 governorship election in the state. But the governor has appealed the judgement while jubilation in the PDP camp has continued.
But the APC state chairman has urged the opposition party to stop misleading the public with alleged mischievous propaganda, and wait for the outcome of the appeal.

He said, “It is pertinent to note that since the split judgement of the governorship election petition tribunal, several issues have emerged, especially, from the opposition PDP.
“They have decided and are determined to misinterpret every statement that emanates from anybody that has something to do with the government in power.”
