The Attorney General of the Federation AGF and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami has given a directive for the arraignment of a former Minister of Aviation, Senator Stella Adaeze Oduah over N7.9 billion money laundering charges.
Justice Inyang Edem Ekwo on Wednesday fixed February 13 to 17, 2023 for Oduah’s arraignment and accelerated trial after Malami’s fresh directive.

The trial of Oduah and other defendants was stalled in 2021 following the request of the AGF to allow him to study the case file and give a legal opinion.
Oduah, who was present in court along with her other eight co-defendants, was charged with conspiracy and money laundering, as well as maintaining anonymous bank accounts,.
In the charges, the EFCC alleged that Mrs. Oduah misappropriated the sum of N7.9 billion in public funds while serving as a minister under former President Goodluck Jonathan’s government.
Other defendants are Gloria Odita, Nwosu Emmanuel Nnamdi, Chukwuma Irene Chinyere, Global Offshore, and Marine Limited, Tip Top Global Resources Limited, Crystal Television Limited, and Sobora International Limited.
