Justice Daniel Longji of the Jos High Court has remanded former governor of Plateau State, Jonah David Jang to prison custody.

Prior to that, Justice Longji had denied a bail application by Jang through his lawyer Robert Clarke (SAN) and adjourned to Thursday 24th May for a bench ruling on bail.

Jang was arraigned on a 12 count charge of alleged corruption and misappropriation of N6.3 billion before he vacated office.

The now Senator representing Plateau North was arraigned alongside Yusuf Pam, a one-time cashier in the office of the Secretary to the State Government who allegedly embezzled N11million.

When the charges were read, Jang and Pam pleaded not guilty.
