Alia pledges to revive Benue’s moribund Taraku Mills

Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue State has pledged to rejuvenate the multimillion dollar Taraku Mills Limited located in Gwer East Local Government Area of the state.

He also promised to upgrade educational facilities in the Gwer/Gwer Federal Constituency of the state.

Alia made the announcement at the weekend during his thank-you tour to the Gwer people held at St. Francis Primary School Aliade, Gwer East LGA.

The governor disclosed that his administration had already started the process of reviving Taraku Mills Limited, lauding the community for safeguarding the company from vandalism over the years.

He also committed to renovating and upgrading the School of the Gifted and Government Girls Secondary Aliade, both of which offer exchange programmes for students nationwide.
