Singer Ali Jita launches albums in Abuja drawing many other artistes to the concert
Famous Kannywood musician, Ali Isa popularly known as Ali Jita, took a bold step to become the first Kannywood singer to hold an enthralling and captivating musical concert in Abuja.
The colourful and exhilarating concert was held at Lagos Hall of Transcorp Hilton Hotel last Saturday.
During the concert the Kano-born musician also launched two albums all titled ‘Love’ – an audio album with 12 songs and a video album with seven.
In the audio album, Jita featured popular singers like Nazifi Asnanic, Morrel and Faze while in the video renowned Kannywood actresses like Hadiza Gabon, Maryam Booth and comedian actor, Baba Ari were featured.
The hall was fully packed with filmmakers, musicians and fans that paid N250, 000 for a table of 10, N150, 000 for a table of five and VIP at N10, 000.
The albums were Jita’s 10th and 11th in his 20 year musical career. During the concert the musician did not disappoint at all as he lived up to expection.
Other musicians also entertained the audience. The performing musicians included Ahmad Musa Danja, Tagwayen Asali, Aminu Ladan Abubakar (ALA), Kogi-born musician Fenah and Abdul S. Thinking among others.
Speaking during the event, Jita explained that he got the inspiration and motivation to compose some of the songs from his daily interactions.
He said, “My day-to-day dealings with people over time gave me inspiration and motivation to compose some of the songs in the two albums. Some of the songs have the theme of love and bravery.”
Jita who released albums like ‘Bakandamiya’ and ‘Zakin Fama’ pledged that 10 per cent of the total money realized from the concert and launch of the albums would be used for the fight against cancer.
The concert and the albums launch were attended by wives of Kebbi State governor, Hajiya Zainab Bagudu, Bauchi State, Hajiya A’isha Muhammad Abubakar, Kogi State, Mrs Rashida Bello and Kaduna State, Hajiya Aisha Ummi el-Rufa’i.
Other personalities at the concert included, wife of former Kano State governor, Halima Ibrahim Shekarau, former Director, Army Public Relations (DAPR), Brigadier-General Sani Usman Kukasheka, Alhaji Abdullahi Shu’aibu Maje and a businessman, Alhaji Alhassan Fatuhu – who bought two copies of the albums – one video and an audio at the sum of N2million.
Actors, including Adam A. Zango, Yakubu Muhammad, Sadiq Sani Sadiq, Hadiza Aliyu Gabon, director, Aminu Saira and musicians, Nazir M. Ahmad and Nazifi Asnanic were also present.
Other dignitaries included President Muhammadu Buhari’s National Director of Music, Alhaji Dauda Kahutu (Rarara), actor, Bello Muhammadu Bello (BMB), comedian, Baban Chinedu and Executive Director, Kano State Censors Board, Alhaji Isma’il Afakallah.
