Alhaji Ibrahim is new Hirchin Jega

Alhaji Ibrahim Abubakar has been turbaned as the 9th Hirchin Jega by His Royal Highness, Alhaji Muhammad Arzika, Sarkin Kabin Jega.
Until now, Abubakar was the Executive Secretary of the Abuja National Mosque Management Board.
His father, Hirchin Abubakar was the 7th Hirchin in sequence of those who had occupied the throne from 1896 to 2006.
In 2004 he was conferred with the title of Matawallen by the late Sarkin Kabin Jega, Alhaji Haruna.
Hirchin Ibrahim had his basic religious education from various Islamic scholars in Jega.
He had his primary and secondary education from 1958 to 1969 and obtained his Bachelor’s degree at the Ahmadu Bello University in 1981.Before his retirement, he served in various capacities at both state and national levels.
