The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has called for the complete autonomy of local government area councils and a review of the 1999 Constitution to address the impediment making LG area council administration difficult in the country.
This was contained in the resolutions at the 2nd General Assembly meeting of ALGON recently held in Abuja which saw the induction of President Muhammadu Buhari as its in appreciation of his local government “friendly disposition” and support.
