ALGON passes vote of confidence on Alabi

The Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON) has passed a vote of confidence on its national president, Kolade David Alabi, for his “leadership and ingenuity.”

This was stated in a communiqué issued at the end of the association’s board of trustees and NEC meeting held recently in Abuja. It said Alabi’s leadership has brought ALGON’S trajectory back on the path of peace and unity with sustained strategy of developing the third tier of government as a model of excellence.

ALGON, which also condoled with victims and families of xenophobic attacks in South Africa, expressed concern over the rising insecurity, kidnapping and other social vices in Nigeria which, it said, required effective inclusion of LG administrations to tackle.

Kolade David Alabi has emerged strong in just a few months of assumption of office and praised his leadership and development initiative for the association.

He urged the BoT and NEC members to sustain the tempo of the consensus and unflinching loyalty to the Alabi-led exco by rallying around his administration, and maintained that ALGON will remain united in the face of all challenges.
