Businesswoman, Folorunsho Alakija; Businessman and philanthropist, Femi Otedola; Author and Businesswoman, Ibukun Awosika; Medical Doctor and Televangelist, Dr Paul Enenche and Director-General of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Dr. Mohammed Bulama, are amongst Nigerian personalities listed on Reputation Poll International (RPI) 100 most Reputable Africans for the 2024 year.
Culture activist and journalist, Jahman Oladejo Anikulapo, was also honoured while a host of individuals from diverse sectors including governance, human rights, education, entertainment, and business featured on the 2024 global reputation list.
Some other Nigerians featured on the list are Abdul Samad Isyaku Rabiu; Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala; Dr. Armstrong Ume Takakang of the Ministry of Finance; Catherine Uju Ifejika; Gabriel Aduda, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Petroleum Resources; Dr. Jumoke Oduwole; Nuhu Ribadu; Modupe Adefeso-Olateju and Mohammed Bulama of the FRCN.
Others from the African continent include Pretoria University’s Prof. Daniël Christiaan de Wet Swanepoel; Microbiologist JeanJacques Muyembe-Tamfum from Congo Democratic Republic; Prof. Gebisa Ejeta of Ethiopia and Prof. Mohamed Hag Ali Hassan from Sudan.
In addition to the individuals honoured for their diverse accomplishments on the “100 Most Reputable Africans” list, there are others acclaimed for their contributions to social impact and social entrepreneurship, facilitating the transformation of African businesses and improving lives without stirring up controversy.
According to the RPI, the goal of the 100 Most Reputable Africans list is to honour and celebrate the accomplishments of those who are positively influencing both Africa and the rest of the globe.
Some others on the list include: Angelique Kidjo of Republic du Benin, Alek Wek of Sudan, Constance Connie Ferguson of South Africa, Cynthia Davies CBE, Queen Masenate Mohato Seeisoo of Lesotho, Khairy Beshara of Egypt, Dr. Ladisias Prosper Agbesi of Benin Republic, Mahmood Mamdani of Uganda and Dr. Mensa Otabil of Ghana.
Some others are: Mike Jocktane of Gabon, Mo Ibrahim of Sudan, Pedro Verona Rodrigues Pires of Cape Verde, Polycarp Pengo of Tanzania, Rachid Yazami of Morocco, Rediet Abebe of Ethiopia, Roberta Annan of Ghana, Ronald Lamola of South Africa, Sherrie Silver of Rwanda, Siya Kolisi of South Africa and Dr. Rajae Ghanimi of Morocco.
