Alaafin was a pillar of unity among Yoruba – Amosun

A former governor of Ogun State, Senator Ibikunle Amosun, yesterday, said the late Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Adeyemi, was a pillar of unity among the Yoruba.

The senator representing Ogun Central, who spoke during a condolence visit to the palace of the Alaafin, said the late monarch was more agile than his age to death, noting that he was an encyclopedia of Yoruba culture who upheld Yoruba traditions.

He further said the late monarch represented unity and harmony among all the zones in the country, adding that his relationship cut across affiliations.
