Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura of Nasarawa State has called for a synergy among security and intelligence agencies in the country to find a permanent solution to the incessant killings of Nigerians occasioned by crises between farmers and herders.
Al-Makura who spoke when he hosted officers of the Nigerian Defence Intelligence College on a study tour of Nasarawa state, said his government would always ensure the protection of lives and properties of the people, according to a statement signed by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Musa Elayo.
The governor said his government had done a lot to resolve the crises as they affected the state by establishing a community-based conflict resolution mechanism comprising all stakeholders and security agencies in the area.
