In continuation of its anti-corruption project, The JUST FOUNDATION, of the Al-Habibiyyah Islamic Society organized three-day training tagged “Training of Trainers” in Osun State, for 60 selected Islamic scholars and preachers in the state.

The Executive Director of the society, Imam Fuad Adeyemi, said the purpose of the training was to train preachers and scholars on the evils and dangers of corruption.

According to him, with the knowledge and ideas they gathered from the training they can in turn incorporate them in their sermons and teachings.

“Most of the challenges besetting the country are chiefly cause by corruption. Poverty, lack of basic social amenities among other components of underdevelopment are the reason why the country is where it is,” Adeyemi said.

He said the training was part of the three-year project with support from the MacArthur Foundation and was designated to promote the spirit of transparency and accountability in the country.
