The match played in Cairo saw the Libyan giants beating the defending champions 3-2 to qualify for the group stage on 4-2 aggregate.
The first leg played in Tunis had ended 1-0 in favour of Al Benghazi.
Speaking to Daily Trust yesterday Orkuma who joined Al Benghazi from Lobi Stars of Makurdi expressed happiness that his team was able to knock out the defending champions.
He said before the second leg encounter, only a few people gave them a chance to beat Al Ahly but determination saw his team through the big hurdle.
He noted that although it was not an easy match, Al Benghazi took the fight to their opponents and before the Egyptian giants could realise what was happening, the damage was done already.
Moses also said victory over a formidable opponent like Al Ahly has boosted the confidence level of his team as the players now believe they are good enough to emerge champions of the lucrative league.
His words “I am extremely delighted by the resounding victory. It is not easy to knock out defending champions in any competition. After we recorded a slim 1-0 victory in the first leg, many people thought we were out of the competition.
“However, we went back and intensified our work towards the return leg. I am happy that we did not over respect Al Ahly. We took the fight to them and before they could realise what was happening, they were down and out.
