The Federal Polytechnic, Ukana, Akwa Ibom State, has announced that it would resume academic activities on Monday, November 2nd 2020.
In a statement, the school’s Public Relations Officer, Manasseh Umoette, said the Management has declared a “no face mask, no entry” policy as the school resumes.

Umoette explained that in anticipation of the resumption, the management had taken far reaching decisions to safeguard and protect staff, students and visitors to the institution against COVID-19 infection.
He stated that visitors who do not have any official business to transact in the Polytechnic will not be welcome.
“Academic activities will resume in the Polytechnic on Monday, 2nd November, 2020. All students are requested to resume lectures on that date. They are expected to check their various departmental notice boards for the revised academic calendar.
“COVID-19 Protocol Monitoring and Enforcement Committee are to enforce compliance among staff, students and visitors.
“The Polytechnic has procured some pharmacological and non pharmacological facilities to combat COVID-19 infection, “the statement stated.
The Polytechnic closed down in March following the outbreak of COVID-19 in the country.
