First Lady Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has facilitated the employment of two physically challenged ex-corps members, Onogberie Efe Lulu and Nuruddeen Tahir, in the Federal Civil Service.

Deputy Director, Press and Public Relations, National Youths Service Corps, Emeka Mgbemena, in a statement, said this was due to the NYSC Director-General Shuaibu Ibrahim’s persistent advocacy for stakeholders’ support, especially on corps members’ welfare.

He said the two ex-corps members got their employment letters from the Nigeria Social Insurance Trust Fund on Wednesday at NYSC DG’s office.

The NYSC DG, according to the statement, thanked Mrs Buhari for her sustained interest in the success of the scheme and the corps members’ scheme.

He said the gesture would send a message to other physically challenged youths that the nation cared for them and would give them opportunities to realize their potentials.

Lulu and Nuruddeen thanked the first lady for her benevolence and prayed God reward her.
