The Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) has pledged to key into President Bola Ahmed’s vision to generate technical talents to facilitate the creation of jobs for the youth.
The Commandant, AFIT, Air Vice Marshal Sani Rabe stated this while speaking at the maiden edition of a public lecture organised by the institute.
He said the theme of the lecture, “Leveraging Technology Capacity to Achieve the Renewed Hope Agenda” was chosen in a bid to derive the benefit of information communication technology to human survival in the evolving global society.
He assured that AFIT as an institute of technology has the capacity and competence to contribute meaningfully to the actualisation of this vision.
He reiterated the commitment of the institute to fostering creativity, innovation, and problem-solving skills among its students.

The President of the Digital Bridge Institute, Abuja, Professor Mohammed Ajiya urged the federal government to empower specialised institutions to play critical roles as drivers of research, innovation, business, entrepreneurship, and technology.
He stressed that investing in such institutions will enhance productivity in research and development.
