Detectives are currently in search of a fleeing personnel of the Nigerian Air Force for allegedly shooting a teenager over the sale of a GSM phone.
The Air Force personnel identified as Mohammed Yahaya allegedly shot three others before he took to his heels.
An eye witness told Daily Trust yesterday evening that the incident occurred about 12pm on Monday at Westminster Gate, Trinity on the Oshidi-Apapa expressway.
The witness identified some of the victims as Mamman Dansoho, 18; Tony Akon, 38, one Abdulahi as well as an unidentified man.
Daily Trust reliably learnt that trouble started when the teenager who often hangs around Westminster market sold a phone at N500 to another some days ago. It was further learnt that the buyer returned the phone few days later when he discovered that it was not working.
“The buyer demanded a refund of his N500, but the seller told him he had used the money. An argument ensued and the buyer invited the Air Force personnel who insisted that the seller must refund the N500 to the buyer. In the process of the argument, the personnel shot the seller who happens to be the teenager, in his stomach,” the witness explained.

“All four victims were rushed to Lagos Island General Hospital,” the witness said.
