Speaking on the league’s growth, Musa advocated for increased private sector involvement, stressing that private investment is pivotal for the league’s development.

“The government alone cannot sustainably support the league, and we need more private sector investment,” he affirmed, underscoring the necessity of diversifying funding sources for the sport’s growth.

The seasoned footballer also took note of emerging talents like Kano Pillars five-goal hero Yusuf Abdullahi, drawing parallels between his own beginnings and the promising future he sees for Nigerian football.

“I started just like him during my time here at Kano Pillars. I wish him the best of luck; it’s a bright future for Nigeria,” Musa expressed with optimism for the budding talent.

Offering advice to rising stars, Musa emphasized the challenges that accompany success, cautioning against excessive pressure and scrutiny on young players.
