The Onisan of Isan-Ekiti, Oba Ayodele Adejuwon, has said the establishment of the College of Agriculture and Technology in Isan-Ekiti would usher in infrastructural revolution and economic transformation in the community and its environs.
The traditional ruler, promised that the people will cooperate with the college community and ensures peaceful co-existence.
Oba Adejuwon stated this on Monday while welcoming the Commissioner for Agriculture and Food Security, Dr. Olabode Adetoyi, who was on a familiarization visit to the traditional ruler in his palace.
In his speech, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, Engr Olugbenga Odesanmi congratulated the monarch for the good development taking place during his reign.
He commended the traditional ruler for releasing the land for the establishment of the institution.
Dr. Adetoyi said he was in the town to acquaint himself with the on-going developmental activities in the college and to discuss with its management staff on areas of collaboration that could transform the vision of the governor into reality in the agricultural sector of the state.
Adetoyi observed that the state could only be sufficient in food production if the college keys in to the vision and presents itself as a driving force that would propel the youths to embrace agribusiness and other entrepreneurial skills needed for the economic emancipation of Ekiti State.
