Aggrieved APC members seek reconciliation

Some stakeholders within the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) yesterday tasked the national leadership of the party not to feign ignorance to the current division among top echelons in the party.

The stakeholders, under ‘APC360’, an umbrella body of former state assemblies, House of Reps, Senate and Governorship aspirants of the party, maintained that genuine reconciliation among their chieftains is vital to the party’s victory in the coming general elections.

Addressing journalists in Abuja, the National Secretary of APC360, Dr Chris Enoch, said the ill-feelings arising from the party’s primaries across the country have not been fully healed.

He said irrespective of the injustice meted to them at the primaries, they remain committed to the ideals of the party and will work to ensure its success across board.

According to him, the recent allegations by Gov. Nasir El-Rufai can be traced to grievances that emanated from the primaries, urging the National Working Committee of the Party to urgently inaugurate a committee that will interface with aggrieved party loyalists before the presidential election.
