According to the State Publicity Secretary of SDP, Chilos Godsent, in an interview with newsmen in Owerri, the party is currently having talks with some aspirants from the All Progressive Congress(APC) who also lost out in the primaries of the party.

Although, he did  not mention the name of the APC aspirant planning to rekindle his senatorial bid in SDP, he assured that his entry would be formalised before  the end of the week.

Godsent said, “He is one of governor Okorocha’s ardent supporter, he is presently having talks with us, as soon as this is finalised , we would make it official.”

Meanwhile, there are fears that the governorship candidate of the party in the state, Cashmire Anyanwu may lose his ticket already given to him by SDP to another prominent politician.

The politician, whose name is still under wraps, according to  Godsent, is planning to defect to the party to pursue his governorship ambition.

However  Anyanwu debunked the insinuations that he is standing in for a particular aspirant.
