Barely two months after gunmen invaded Yewuti village, hometown of a former Vice Chairman of Kwali Area Council of the FCT, Alhaji Zubairu Jibrin Yewuti, and abducted 29 residents, seven persons were again abducted in the community on Tuesday night.
Recall that kidnappers on April 24, 2023, invaded the community and whisked away 29 villagers who were later rescued by a combined team of security operatives that comprised vigilantes and policemen.
A resident, Usman Aliyu, who confirmed the latest kidnap incident to our reporter on Tuesday, said the kidnappers invaded the house of the late former Chairman of Kwali, Alhaji Mohammed Gimba, and whisked away four persons.
He said the kidnappers proceeded to a neighbour’s house and abducted three other persons amid sporadic gunshots.
