Another batch of 152 stranded Nigerians in Libya arrived the Murtala Muhammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos in the late hours of Wednesday.
Their return to the country was facilitated by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), which returned over 6000 Nigerians in Libya last year alone.
The returnees were received by a team of the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) led by the South-West Zonal Coordinator, Alhaji Yakubu Suleiman.
They arrived in an Airbus 320 with registration number LZ-MDO. The breakdown of the returnees shows that there were 69 female adults fincluding 3 pregnant women, 73 male adults, four children and six infants.
Suleiman on behalf of the Federal Government thanked the UN body for aiding the repatriation of the distressed Nigerians back home.
The returnees were provided with handsets loaded with airtime to assist their integration with their families in the country.
The cell phones and other welfare packages were facilitated by the offices of the Senior Special Assistant on MDG and Diaspora Matters to the President.
