Two motorcycles have reportedly been stolen from a mosque during Taraweeh prayers in Ikwa, near Zuba, in Gwagwalada Area Council of the FCT.
City & Crime earlier reported that thieves invaded a mosque during Taraweeh prayers on March 16, 2024, and stole two motorcycles in Passo village in the council.
A resident of Ikwa, Abdullahi Mohammed, said the latest incident happened on Monday at about 8pm when Muslims were observing the Taraweeh prayers.
He explained that, “It was shortly after the Taraweeh prayers when two of the motorcycle owners discovered that their motorcycles were missing from where they were parked.”

He said vigilantes were alerted to assist in searching for the motorcycles.
Our reporter also learnt that two android phones were stolen from the same mosque on Monday night.
It was gathered that the owners were charging the phones inside the mosque.
The spokeswoman of the FCT Police Command, SP Adeh Josephine, was yet to confirm the incidents.
