Ogun State House of Assembly on Thursday called for the procurement of tracking equipment for security agencies following ceaseless kidnapping and murder cases across the state.
This followed the murder of Miss Temitope Elemide, a niece to the speaker of the state House of Assembly, Oludaisi Elemide.
The 20-year-old admission seeker was reportedly raped and killed on Sunday in Odeda Local Government Area of the state.
The victim was killed at the family residence in the Bosero community, Olodo, in Odeda LGA.

At the plenary presided by Elemide on Thursday, the lawmakers raised the issue of insecurity under a matter of urgent public importance bordering on the killing of the admission seeker and other incidents in the state.
Some of the legislators, Babatunde Tella and Adebisi Oyedele, explained that kidnapping and ritual killings needed to be tackled headlong, lamenting the murder of a JAMB candidate on Sunday.
The lawmakers noted that such cases had become rampant in all parts of the state.
The house, therefore, passed a resolution, calling on the state government to provide every necessary instrument and apparatus that will enhance the security network across the state.
