Weeks after he was granted a presidential pardon from prison, a former Governor of Taraba State, Jolly Nyame, has become the darling of the All Progressives Congress (APC), the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Taraba State.
Chieftains of the three political parties are now wooing Nyame who was released recently from the Kuje prison where he was serving a jail term for corruption.

Nyame, nicked named “father of Taraba politics”, is yet to visit the state as he has been in his Abuja residence since his release, where top shots of the three parties are thronging to visit him.
A few days after he was released, a governorship candidate in Taraba gifted Nyame a car.
Findings by our correspondent revealed that Nyame is likely to join the APC, which most of his political associates recently joined.
The APC governorship candidate in Taraba, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha, is one of the associates of Nyame.
The Publicity Secretary of APC in Taraba, Aaron Artimas, in an interview said that there were interactions between the former governor and the chieftains of the APC.
Artimas said, “Nyame has built a big and strong political structure in the state, and 90 per cent of members of his political structure are in the APC and nobody would build such structure and allow it to be destroyed.”
On the other hand, the PDP in the state is also struggling to have the former governor.
A key member of PDP in Taraba said that Nyame had no any other political base other than the PDP, and that leaving the party would be political suicide for the former governor.
Similarly, the SDP gubernatorial candidate, Danladi Baido, a strong associate of Nyame, is equally looking towards having the former governor in his fold.
In 2007, it was Baido that Nyame anointed to be his successor, but the project failed and the late Danbaba Suntai came in and took over from him.
Key members of SDP, Daily Trust gathered, have high hopes that Nyame will be in the party to support his ally.
