After Court Ruling, ObiDatti Movement to hold rally in Lekki, Ikeja, others

Supporters of the presidential candidate of Labour Party, Peter Obi, have disclosed that they will go ahead with the ObiDatti Movement rally billed for Saturday (tomorrow) at four locations in Lagos State.

The LP governorship candidate in the state, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour, in a press briefing yesterday, said the court validated the rights of members of the movement to hold the rally.

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos on Wednesday ruled that the movement could hold the rally but barred them from converging at the Lekki Toll-Gate, the epicentre of the 2020 EndSARS protest in the state.

Justice Daniel Osiagor ruled that the supporters of Obi could pass through the tollgate for the rally but must not converge on the facility.

Gbadebo disclosed that the rally would kick off by 7am on Saturday at Ikeja, Festac, Surulere and Lekki Phase 1. This, he said, is to allow members of the ObiDatti movement the chance to participate in the rally from locations close to them.
