The Governor of Ogun State, Prince Dapo Abiodun, has installed Oba Ademola Eletu as the new Onitele of Itele-Ota in Ado-Odo/Ota LGA 17 years after the stool became vacant.

Abiodun, at the installation and presentation of instruments of appointment and staff of office to the new monarch in Itele town, said the selection process conformed to relevant sections of the Obas and Chiefs Laws of Ogun State 2021 and was in accordance with the customs and traditions of Itele people.

The governor, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, Mr Kolawole Fagbohun, said traditional rulers were always at the forefront of political, economic and social development in their different purviews, enjoining the new monarch to constantly champion efforts that would bring rapid development which the community missed in the last 17 years.

He enjoined the people of Itele-Ota to give Oba Eletu the necessary support required to move the community forward, adding that all hands must be on deck to pave way for speedy development of the area.

In his acceptance speech, Oba Eletu appreciated Gov Abiodun for heeding the call of his people and appointing him as the new Onitele, promising his commitment to take the kingdom to an enviable height.
