A Professor of Microbiology at the Fountain University, Osogbo, Osun State, Professor Muse Oke, yesterday warned that the future generations of African scientists might not be adequately trained and equipped to face present and future health challenges.
Oke, who is the Dean of College of Basic Medical and Health Sciences at the university said Africa was ill-prepared for global health challenges despite that the continent bearing about a quarter of the global disease burden.

He said this while delivering his inaugural lecture with the theme “From Bench to Bedside. Structural Biology, Infectious Diseases and Health Security”.
