Afri-Projects to Fani-Kayode: Our record is clean

The firm was responding to a statement credited to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, the media and publicity director of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential campaign organisation to the effect that the death of Salihijo Ahmad, Afri-Project’s chief executive was responsible for the non-indictment of PTF.
“We state categorically that after painstaking investigations our firm and indeed personnel were never found wanting, fraudulent or to have behaved in an unprofessional manner in our dealings with the defunct PTF,” the statement signed by four of the firm’s partners said.
Signed by Engr. Nuruddeen A. Rafindadi, Malam Murtala Aliyu, Engr. A. Dahiru and Ms Amina J. Mohammed, the statement said even former President Obasanjo “himself has now affirmed that the PTF headed by General Buhari was indeed probed and nothing amiss was found. So, where is the so-called ‘graft’ that the late Salihijo Ahmad would have exposed?
“Having been subjected to three investigative committees and several audit firms over a period of about 24 months, no personnel of Afri-Projects Consortium was ever indicted of wrong-doing,” the statement said.
The firm said: “we expect that politicians in their game should respect the worth of our past and present heroes.”
