“I look forward to an interesting game between two ambitious teams. As I said a couple of weeks ago, we will take it one match at a time. For now, we see the clash with Egypt and all our plan is how to earn the three points.
“The Egyptians are a strong team and will come with a lot of confidence and steam, but we will also be going to the field with a lot of confidence and steam. It is going to be an interesting evening. It’s over now, we have to face the truth, no one cares about excuses
“We must respect people’s opinions, but there are rules about laying off players. It is due to the player’s desire individually first, and who must fight to play for the national team.
“We were fighting similar battles during our playing days, and we were fighting to play for the national team because it is an honour. Everyone has the same goal, whether it is the football federation, the fans, or the players,” he said.
Meanwhile, it has been revealed that the Super Eagles will smile home with $5000 for every victory in the group stage of the AFCON.
