The Abuja Electricity Distribution Company (AEDC) has announced that some parts of Lokoja, the Kogi State capital, will witness a power outage because of a major breakdown of its 11KVA Feeder 2.
The breakdown was a result of a heavy wind on Monday which broke down seven non-high tension poles and tripped the lines.

In a statement, AEDC listed the places as Kabawa, Old Market, New Market, Nataco, Sariki Noma, Kogi Poly, Felele, Agbaja and some parts of the traditional main town.
AEDC pleaded with the customers to bear with it as plans were already underway to rectify the problem and restore the power supply soon.
