Adeniji-Adele dies at 60

 former Commissioner of Sports in Lagos State and Chairman, Lagos Island Local Government, ‎Prince Ademola Adeniji-Adele, has died at the age of 60.
Associates of the late politician both in the ruling All Progressive Congress (APC) and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Lagos State Chapters confirmed the development but declined to be quoted because there has not been any official confirmation from the family.
Adele, a Lagos Prince, reportedly lost his life while seeking medical treatment in India.
 ‎‎Until his death, Adele fondly called “Papa” by his admirers was a chieftain of APC. He had reportedly opposed the candidacy of Akinwunmi Ambode ahead of the 2015 gubernatorial election.‎
Adeniji Adele once served as elected Chairman of Lagos Island. He later became Commissioner ‎for Sport in the first term of former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola between 2007 and 2011. He was survived by his wife, Tawakalitu and children.‎
