Adegoke vows to set Olympics tracks ablaze

Nigeria’s fastest man, Enoch Adegoke has declared that he is ready for a podium finish as athletics events of Tokyo Olympic Games set to take off on Friday.

Adegoke came into reckoning after running a new World Lead of 10.16seconds (+0.8) to win the men’s 100m final at the Athletics Federation of Nigeria (AFN) All-Comers held at the Federal University of Technology (FUTA), Akure.

He also secured victory ahead of Ogho-Oghene Egwero in the men’s 100m final, winning in 10.50s in the classic events organized by AFN in Ado-Ekiti in 2020.

“I’m prepared already. I can’t just wait to get there. I’ve met most of the targets for 2021. Getting to the Olympics, I believe I will fulfill the rest,” he said.

Adegoke is one of the athletes Team Nigeria is looking up to secure a podium finish.
