Over 200 leaders of the party arrived at his choice to fill the vacancy created by the sudden exit of Salvador, it was gathered.

The decision was also endorsed by the national leadership which sent a team to Lagos to reconcile aggrieved members.

The new Chairman confirmed his emergence to our correspondent today, saying his major task would be to unite all members of the party ahead of the 2019 elections.

“Since Salvador left, the post became vacant and the leadership of the party, about 200 of them sat and decided for a replacement and the replacement of course must come from the group that produced Salvador and his Senatorial District, Lagos West and that’s how we arrived at that”, he said.

The new Chairman vowed to reunite all members and galvanize them for victory of the party in the 2019 elections.
