A former governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Abdullahi Adamu (APC, Nasarawa West), has emerged as the chairman of the Northern Senators’ forum.
The emergence of Adamu, a second timer at the Upper Chamber was announced by Senator Dino Melaye (APC, Kogi West) who is also the spokesperson of the forum.
Senator Joshua M. Lidani (PDP, Gombe South) emerged as the vice chairman and Senator Jibrin I. Barau (APC, Kano North) was elected as the secretary of the forum.
It was gathered that the forum, which has been inaugurated was conceived to unite northern senators, irrespective of political parties’ differences.
It’s also meant to champion the interest of the region at the Upper Chamber.
