Chairman, Senate Committee on Sustainable Development Goals, Senator Aishatu Dahiru Ahmed Binani (APC Adamawa Central) has empowered 41 youths and women with tricycles in her senatorial district.

Binani, represented by the wife of the Late Chief of Staff in the state, Hajia Aishatu Abdulrahman Abba Jimeta, presented 41 tricycles to the beneficiaries in Yola.

“I believe in empowerment because that’s the quickest way to create wealth and bridge the unemployment gaps. I’ll continue to devote my tenure to assist in helping our youths and women to be self-reliant.

“I appeal to all the beneficiaries to make good use of the tricycles to sustain themselves and create wealth,” the senator said.

The chairman of the All Progressives Congress in the state, Ibrahim Bilal, commended the senator for the gesture, saying “As the only APC senator from Adamawa, we’re very proud to call you our own, especially with this empowerment coming again in less than a month after your last empowerment on the 1st of October.”

Also speaking, a former Speaker of the Adamawa State House of Assembly, Mohammed Hassan Turaki, commended Binani for her good representation in the Senate.

“This is the third time I’m being invited for empowerment by Senator Binani within one year. No one needs a soothsayer to be told that Senator Binani is a great asset to Adamawa State. I, therefore, assure her of our maximum support whenever and wherever the need arises,” Turaki stated.

Also on attendance were, Adamawa APC youth leader, Honourable Babawo; the women leader, Hauwa Koma and Chairman, Binani Structure, Bala Jingi, among others.
