Adamawa Receives Commendation from FIRS for Exceptional Tax Compliance

The Deputy Governor of Adamawa State, Professor Kaletapwa Farauta has received a letter by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) praising Adamawa State for its outstanding tax remittance record.

The commendation acknowledges the state’s diligent efforts in meeting its tax obligations, making it one of the top-performing states in the country.

Farauta expressed her delight at the recognition, stating that it motivates the government to continue delivering quality services to its citizens.

She emphasized the importance of tax payment in driving development and urged residents to fulfill their tax obligations.

Earlier, Sambo Alan Yaska, Acting Director of Tax at the FIRS Abuja office, led a team to present the commendation letter.

Yaska praised Adamawa State for its consistent and timely tax remittances, noting that such contributions significantly impact the nation’s growth and development.
