Adamawa law makers pass vote of confidence on Speaker

Following speculation of impeachment plot against the Speaker, members of Adamawa House of Assembly have passed vote of confidence on the leadership of the House.
The Speaker, Kabiru Mijinyawa had on Monday read the letter  signed by 23 out of the 25 members of the House endorsing him, before he called out each of the signatories to confirm their signatures.
Abubakar Abdulrahman (APC) representing Mubi South Constituency commended the speaker for transparent and all inclusive leadership.
The Speaker expressed appreciation for the support he had been enjoying from the legislators, saying the House will not disappoint the electorate.
He admitted that he had got several phone calls from people who wanted to clarify rumour about the crisis in the House.
“I thank you for the confidence reposed in me and promise not to disappoint you in steering the affairs of the House. With this vote of confidence, I hope things have been put to rest”, Mijinyawa said.
