Former acting governor and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate, Ahmadu Fintiri has expressed confidence he would emerge winner in the Saturday election.
While casting his vote in Kirchinga 1 in Madagali local government area, Fintiri adjudged the process as peaceful and smooth.
Answering questions from journalists, the gubernatorial candidate said he believed he would emerge victorious in the end.
He therefore commended voters in Madagali for coming out in large numbers to vote, calling on them to maintain the peaceful posture they exhibited.
Our correspondent reported that the turn out in Madagali was impressive despite recent insurgency attacks on some of the communities.
