Adamawa gov’t approves N348m variation for AGIS fencing

The Adamawa State Executive Council has approved an additional variation to the perimeter fencing of the Adamawa State Geographical Information System (AGIS) at a cost of N348,110,407.40, bringing the total project cost to N692,752,573.

This decision was disclosed by the state Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Mrs Niedo Geoffrey Kofulto, after the council’s 6th meeting, which was chaired by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri at the Government House, Yola on Wednesday.

In addition, the council designated the last Saturday of every month as state sanitation day and urged residents to comply with this directive. Mrs Kofulto also highlighted the council’s satisfaction with the progress made in curbing the recent measles outbreak, which claimed over 40 lives in two local government areas of the state. She attributed this success to the pragmatic approach taken by Governor Fintiri, his cabinet and medical stakeholders.
